Is the auction really free?

Yes. Core Classic and Smart features remain Free. Pro is reserved for no ads and future advanced features.

What does Public Beta mean?

The core workflow is available to real users and critical operations are tested, while the product continues to be monitored and improved. Always verify the displayed player, team and price before a final sale.

What is the difference between Classic and Smart?

In Classic everyone speaks toward one central microphone and the controller selects the buyer. In Smart each phone is bound to a team, so the last valid bid identifies the potential buyer automatically.

Does a phone participant need an account?

No. The organizer must be authenticated, while Smart participants may join as guests restricted to one auction. The controller approves and can revoke each device-team binding.

Does FantaVoice record audio?

No. For Italian, recognition runs inside your browser on a model downloaded once: the audio never leaves the device and reaches no server, ours or third-party. We do not record, retain or use audio or transcripts for measurement or advertising.

In other languages recognition goes through the browser or operating-system dictation service, and its provider's terms apply.

Can you raise without speaking?

Yes, it is called FantaPulse: the voice control gives way to one large button that raises by the minimum increment, with two more increments kept at a distance below so they are not pressed by mistake. It works on the auctioneer's console and on every connected phone, and alternates with voice during the same auction.

It helps when the room is noisy, when someone would rather not speak, or simply to go faster: pressed or not pressed, there is no "maybe it understood".

What happens when the network drops?

Bidding stops, and nothing is queued to fire later: a bid sent late would land on a price that has since moved. When the device reconnects it first pulls the current state of the auction from the server, and only then can bid again.

Can I use Classic, Mantra or custom roles?

Yes. Roster rules are configured at league level and are separate from Classic/Smart mode. A multi-role player still counts as one roster player.

Can I undo a bid?

Yes. Before the lot closes, the controller can undo the latest accepted bid and restore the previous amount, leader and countdown state.

Can I undo a sale?

Yes. Undoing a confirmed sale restores budget, roster slots and player availability together. Always check the summary before continuing.

Can I pause or cap spending?

The controller can pause and resume the auctioneer. A maximum spend per player can also be set for each team and is validated before a bid is accepted.

How is auction data protected?

Critical operations are persisted server-side and every sale creates a snapshot. After reopening, the auction is recovered paused and never restarts automatically.

What is the repair auction?

It is a dedicated workflow planned after the Public Beta. It currently appears only as a Coming Soon preview and is not active or linked to real auctions.

Which amounts can I say out loud?

Any whole number from 1 to 1000. One thousand credits is the hard ceiling for a single bid, in every auction mode and regardless of the team’s remaining budget: nothing above it is accepted, by voice or by hand. Say the amount however you like — joined or broken up, both map to the same bid.

What if the microphone hears the wrong number?

The auctioneer always says the amount it understood back to you, so you hear it before the sale. A bid that jumps too far from the current one also raises a prominent warning with an undo button next to it. A bid lower than the current one is refused by the system, with nothing for you to do.

Do I need a fast connection for speech recognition?

Italian recognition runs inside your browser, not on a server: after the model downloads once, it works without sending audio over the network. A connection is still needed for auction state, which stays authoritative in the cloud, so a device that reconnects finds the correct bids and timings.

Which browsers and devices work best?

An up-to-date browser with microphone access and WebAssembly support. On iPhone and iPad local recognition is the default path, because system dictation is suspended while the auctioneer speaks. Any spare phone can act as a table microphone next to the device running the auction.

Can I set the countdown timings myself?

Yes. The auctioneer rhythm has three presets — fast, standard, slow — and each interval is adjustable on its own: the wait before “going once”, the steps in between, and the time to the sale. Changes take effect immediately without restarting the countdown in progress.

What do participants see on their phones?

Auction stage, current bid and countdown, synchronised to the auction clock rather than a local timer. In Smart mode each phone is bound to a team, so a bid identifies its bidder on its own; in Classic the phone acts as a microphone and the buyer is chosen by whoever runs the auction.
