The league table, and an award to paste into your group chat

On Monday you type eight numbers and everything follows: results, table, and a message with the King of the round, the Lucky one and the Hard done by.

Eight numbers, nothing else

Anyone running a league without a platform does the same job every week: add the scores, convert to goals, pair the teams, update points and goal difference. Ten minutes that go wrong in the same three places.

Now you type the scores and the rest follows. The calendar is already built, results appear as you go, and the table updates while you type.

Ties are broken by head-to-head, calculated properly: a miniature table between only the tied teams, counting only the matches they played against each other. By hand almost everyone uses overall goal difference instead, which is a different thing and gives a different order.

The awards, which are the part people read

A table is a list, and a list pasted into a group chat gets read by two people. "The lucky one won with 84 while someone else scored 85 and lost" gets read by everyone.

There are five awards: King of the round, Wooden spoon, Top scorer, and the Lucky one / Hard done by pair. That pair appears only when it genuinely exists.

The shareable message is text, not an image: it pastes anywhere and reads in the notification preview. On a phone it opens the share sheet, on a computer it goes to the clipboard.

Where the data goes

Into your browser and nowhere else: no account, no server. The price is that changing device means starting over, so there is a save-to-file and load-from-file.

While building it I found and fixed a defect that affected the score calculator too: saving ran before loading and could erase what had just been typed, but only if you changed page at the wrong instant.
